"I've been waiting to purchase a humidifier to get me through the dry winter months and found a beautiful one in the Cloud Humidifier. I only took a star off because I think there are a few things that could make it even better. I wish the electrical plug/wire was removable so it would be easier to clean. I also would have appreciated a small cleaning brush/scrub to get into the small crevices so I could get rid of some buildup as well as 1 cleaning tablet. I also feel that the sound could be seen as bothersome, however after getting used to it I didn't really mind. It is louder than I thought it would sound but in comparison to the one I had as a child it is certainly quieter. Hope this helps!"

"Purchased approx year and a half ago and initially worked great. I really only used it winter months when air is drier so not used alot. I have been diagnosed with dry eyes so humidity very important therefore have been using it more consistently. Went to turn it on the other night and nothing. It just completely quit working. Very expensive for the amount of time it worked and of course warranty only good for a year."

"Badly designed machine, pricey, and a nightmare to clean. Fragile plastic parts, and impossible to reach areas. It looks good until it just conks out for no reason and no hard reset. It was a gift so I didn’t return right away, now I’m just stuck complaining about it. Don't buy."

Q&A

Can you provide additional images of the interior of the bucket and the base? I don't have a dishwasher and will have to clean by hand. The cleaning video you shared doesn't show that in detail and would like to see what kind of crevices I'd be dealing with.

I have a white diffuser and although I protect it there are dirt marks that I cant remove. and theres a small chip in. the top. I wan to order additional ones but hoping this wont reoccur.The serial # is G0629A1

What should I do to clean the water bucket on a weekly basis? Do I need to use vinegar? The QR code on the instruction sheet that should have led to the cleaning instructions did not work.
Hi Leslie, That's a great question! We recommend cleaning your humidifier once a week to remove any mineral build up. When cleaning your humidifier, always make sure to unplug your device and remove the lid and water bucket from the base. Next, remove the filter and give it a rinse. You can place the internal bucket in the dishwasher. Alternatively, we suggest using warm, soapy water and a small soft brush to scrub any corners, then rinse and set it aside to dry or use a towel to dry it. This is the method we suggest for our Diffusers only as they use essential oils, whereas our Humidifiers don't. Can you add essential oils to this?

Every humidifier we have had has been so challenging to clean. The current #1 rated humidifier (Levoit) is difficult to clean and ends up growing gross stuff in all the hard-to-reach crevices - some are impossible to reach. Can someone make a video showing in-depth how the cleaning is done? We REALLY need a new humidifier and would not hesitate to buy the Vitruvi if the cleaning is not too difficult.
